Want To Mine Cryptocurrency While You Game? Well, Now You Can.

Can’t get a GTX 1080 because of all the people buying them to mine BitCoin? Well, how about you combine the two! I realise this doesn’t get you any closer to a GTX 1080, but still, hear me out.

Announced by developers MyDream Interactive in Palo Alto today, AllMine will be a puzzle game and the first game to utilize blockchain technology in combination with gameplay. It will feature a series of mining-themed tile-matching games in the world of the cute ‘Adoraboos’ and runs alongside a lightweight client named ‘JewelzMiner’ to make cryptocurrency mining a more energy efficient process and let users mine without risk of their hardware overheating or producing excessive noise, powered by a patent-pending Serial Proof Of Work algorithm.

CEO and founder of MyDream Interactive, Allison Huynh, described their currency ‘Jewelz’ further; “We decided to create Jewelz to enable anyone, regardless of their access to computation power, to participate in cryptocurrency mining. With the goal of democratizing cryptocurrency mining, we are building a stable foundation for the Jewelz cryptocurrency through gamification.” After introducing the game, she continued “As the Jewelz platform grows, we will continue to release more games as well as educational applications to teach children basic economics, mathematics, and cryptography principles,”

Both AllMine and the currency ‘Jewelz’ are scheduled for release in Q3 of 2018 for PC and for other platforms at a later date. For anyone heading to GDC this year, they will have a playable floor demo at their booth. We will update later in the week with more information on the currency itself.
