Nintendo Direct Announcements! 8th March 2018

The newest Nintendo Direct (3/8/2018) covered a lot of games that are coming to 3DS and the Switch. Along with release dates for most of them. With the latest being sometime this year so get ready to grab some HD remakes or brand new ports!

For the 3DS we have a brand new Wario Ware game coming in with new and classic micro-games, Detective Pikachu along with a Pikachu Amiibo will finally be available March 23 & a few remakes such as Mario & Luigi: Bowsers inside story, with the addition of Bowser jr story to add some more story to the fun RPG. Along with Luigi’s Mansion HD coming to the 3DS, it should be a great line up for 2018. There is also a new title Dillon Dead Heat Racers, not entirely racing, but you do get to play with an animalized version of your Amiibo. Also the introduction of the last 2 characters for Octopath Traveller & a release date of July 18th!

As for the Switch – There was a tonne of titles announced. we have a brand new Kirby game called Kirby Star Allies where you get to recruit Kirby’s enemies & friends to help you get across Dreamland. Along with Mario Tennis Aces, and a look into the different game modes and swings you can perform in it. Two other titles; Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes & Sushi Striker: The Way Of Sushido were also announced for the Switch

A lot of ports of existing titles were also announced, with Undertale, Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy, Little Nightmares, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Okami HD, South Park: The Fractured But Whole, Hyrule Warriors, & Dark souls Remastered were all announced, the latter including a brand new Solaire Amiibo to go with it.

Splatoon is getting a new DLC called Octo involving robots, Squids and a mysterious subway system, and Nintendo also announced they’ll be holding a big tournament for their game ‘ARMS’. Then they topped it all off by announcing that is sure to sell a few more Switch’s, a new Smash Bros game is in the works!
